Cubio Brings BlackBerry Smartphones to Finland
Helsinki, Finland and Waterloo, ON – xx February 2012 –
Finnish mobile operator Cubio and Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced they are bringing BlackBerry® smartphones and services to Finland for the first time. Cubio will take pre-orders at www.cubio.com/blackberry from business customers and consumers beginning 1st of March, and BlackBerry® smartphones will be available from Cubio in early April.
Cubio is offering BlackBerry® Enterprise Server for corporate customers, which is used by 90% of Fortune 500 companies, and BlackBerry® Internet Service for smaller businesses and consumers. A range of BlackBerry smartphones will be offered including the BlackBerry® Torch™ 9860 (full touch screen), BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 and BlackBerry® Bold™ 9790 (touch screen and keyboard) and BlackBerry® Torch™ 9810 (full touch screen and slider keyboard). All of these smartphones are powered by the new BlackBerry® 7 operating system, which delivers an outstanding mix of communications, multimedia, productivity and social connectivity features.
BlackBerry smartphones are renowned for their robust security, industry-leading communications features and remote management capabilities, which include allowing users or corporate IT departments to locate and wipe a lost device. Enterprise customers can also remotely install applications or configure settings of a device on behalf of a user. BlackBerry smartphones are popular both in the corporate world and amongst consumers.
